This Sweet Chilli Sauce recipe is tremendous – medium hot – but you decide how hot you want it to be. it’s a great way to use up the chilli from the greenhouse. It freezes and lasts about 3 weeks in the fridge.
It’s great for pouring on food, but equally good for cooking.
- 65 ml white vinegar
- 65 g white granulated sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 300 g chopped tomatoes
- 150 g chilli of your choice
- 2 cloves garlic
Sterilise your containers
Add all the ingredients to the vinegar in the pan and bring to the boil on a low light. All the vegetables should be roughly chopped.
Stirring all the time, simmer for 6 - 7 minutes.
Transfer to a food processor and blend until you are satisfied with the consistency.
Bottle and keep sealed in the fridge.
